Industry’s first commercialized advanced PERC technology
Q.ANTUM is the most mature PERC (Passivated Emitter and Rear Cell) technology, and Qcells was the first solar company to commercialize the technology. Advanced PERC Technology
Produce the same yield with fewer modules PERC, by all means, allows for the passivation of the solar cell´s rear side, which involves installing a reflective layer, designed to capture previously unused sunlight back into the cell where it can be converted into solar electricity.

Based on our original Q.ANTUM Technology and Half-cell technology with multi busbars and wiring interconnection delivers superior performances. Q.ANTUM DUO Technology reduces both electrical and optical losses by halving the current passing through each cell while making use of incident light more effectively.
Multi Busbars Technology
Less resistance and better capture of excited electron.
Reduced distance in between the busbars and additional paths for electric current results in 2% power
increase. More paths can be created with the shorter distance leads lower congestion, which in turn reduces resistive losses.
Greater output by halving the current
Halving the cell halves the current. When combined with a module layout which reduces the distance
traveled by the electric current, the result is a 3% increase in power. Two half cells with 12 busbars have
the same or even greater output as a full cell with 24 busbars.
Reduced shading losses with round wires
Utilizing wires instead of flat ribbons reduces both the width and the effective shading width decreasing shading by 75% and increasing the power by 2.5%. The light reflected from the round shape of the wires improves the light capturing effect of the module.

Anti PID Technology
Potential Induced Degradation can lead a significant power loss on both p-type and n-type cells, so the APT effectively protects the solar cells and secures high energy yield in the long-term.
Anti LeTID Technology
Light and Elevated Temperature Induced Degradation (LeTID) effect can significantly damage the power of solar cells on both p-type and n-type cells. Qcells was the first company to observe LeTID effects and to come up with a solution to suppress LeTID in 2015.
One hot-spot can lead to continual yield loss, and in the worst case scenario, the module can catch fire. In order to prevent hot-spots in cells, we inspect the solar cells in various ways, such as infrared camera scanning since 2008.
Quality Controlled PV (QCPV)
Qcells is the first solar module manufacturer in the industry to pass TÜV Rheinland’s new Quality Controlled PV (QCPV) certification, the most thorough testing program in the industry. Developed by TÜV Rheinland, QCPV is not only the most extensive and strictest program to date, but is also the only certification in the entire industry to involve independent and random onsite testing by external experts, as well as regular material and components audits.

Onsite Production Monitoring
QCPV is the only testing program where an independent expert from TÜV Rheinland continuously monitors the quality at Qcells sites, in order to be able to guarantee product stability.

To detect any quality fluctuations at an early stage, and keeping them out of production, we even check particularly critical components and materials, using special analysis methods.
